Diagnosis

In March of 2025, King's family started to notice that things weren't quite right with their little guy.  One morning King wake up for school and he just looked funny to his mom,  so she took him to Emergency Room and they said nothing was wrong with him and that he just needed more sleep.  His mom still felt like there was more to it,  so she took him to see his primary care physician and shared that she had noticed that he was not walking the same and seemed to be having balance issues. That doctor did a CT scan  and saw something abnormal so they sent King and his family to the Children's Hospital where they were able to run additional tests.

After completing an MRI, his family recieved the news that King had a Diffuse Midline Glioma, or DMG.  His parents were stunned and had never heard of DMG before and struggled to understand how this high energy, rarely sick little boy would now be facing such a dire prognosis.  However, his family showed incredible strength in the face of this news and King began a course of radiation which caused his tumor to shrink. He is now taking a clinical trial medication and they have seen tremendous results and are keeping the faith that King will  continue to have positive treatment progress.

King is a sweet boy with such a kind heart for others and  the Archer Foundation is proud to join his family in their belief and hope for a lifetime of good days.
