Karsyn Clarke
Karsyn Clarke was born on February 17th to his proud mama, Kimberly. Their family is big, happy and loving with Karsyn and his three siblings, Karmella, Karlee and Marques keeping mom busy!

Karsyn brings the big energy to his house and loves to have fun (and eat pizza)! He has an incredible sense of humor that always keeps his family laughing. He is a superstar athlete who loves playing football and when he's not running circles around the competition on the field loves to spend time gaming, playing Fortnite and Roblox on his Xbox. One of his most favorite things is their family's annual summer trip to Las Vegas where they have made so many happy memories.
Diagnosis
Karsyn's mom began to notice that something just wasn't quite right with Karsyn in the spring of 2024. Karsyn was always sleepy, which was very unusual for this high energy guy and one day he woke up, walked out of his bedroom and ran into the wall and tv in the living room. Mom quickly realized that the loss of balance, along with the other strange symptoms were not normal and listened to her mother's intuition and took him to get checked out. On April 21, 2024 she took him to the hospital and they did an MRI and then told his family that he had an inoperable tumor in his brain. His mom describes that moment as feeling absolutely broken. They had never even heard of DIPG before that day and were overwhelmed, feeling deeply confused and distraught.

His treatment journey began with radiation and then participation in a clinical trial in hopes of containing the tumor. In January of 2025 Karsyn completed a second round of radiation and his family is never giving up hope for his healing. His mom had to stop working in order to care for her little boy full time and is counting every minute that she spends with him as a blessing. She is sharing his story now to help other DIPG families know that they are not alone on this incredibly difficult journey. ​

This precious farmily is faithful and steadfast in their love for each other and in their belief that every single moment that they have together is a gift and the Archer Foundation is proud to support them as they stand together for many more moments with Karsyn.
