Case Rose

Case was born on March 2, 2016 completing his family as their one and only very best kid.   Case has a huge heart and loves to have fun!  He loves school, his family and friends and his two cats and his dog. He has such a soft heart for animals.  He loves to spend his time going to his self defense class, playing games, exploring the outdoors, traveling and doing arts and crafts.  He is a big Minecraft and Pokemon fan and enjoys going on travel adventures with his family to places like Great Wolf Lodge.

Anyone who has ever met Case knows his bright blue eyes, beautiful smile and laugh are contagious! He wakes up with a smile and is happy and excited for the day, every single morning. He is sweet, kind, extremely thoughtful, and has a great sense of humor. He has this attitude throughout his whole day! He is so smart and loves math. According to his teachers, if they could have every kid in their class be just as helpful and positive as Case is, their days would be perfect.

When Case grows up, he wants to be a father and have a lot of kids!

Diagnosis

In mid October of 2024, Case’s mom and dad noticed he was tilting his head to one side. With no other obvious symptoms presenting, they continued to monitor his posture. An appointment was scheduled with his family doctor to have this checked, but it became clear it may be more urgent and they visited Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI on Wednesday, November 13th for further testing. After an MRI was completed, the heart wrenching diagnosis of DMG was shared with Case's parents. Their world was completely turned upside down and they fell headfirst into learning about a disease that they had never known existed.

Case's treatment journey began when a surgical biopsy was performed and then he began 30 initial rounds of radiation in hopes of shrinking his tumor while his family continued to explore additional treatment options and clinical trial opportunities for their sweet boy. Since his diagnosis, Case has been through so many obstacles and overcome more than most adults this world could handle and he has done it was grace, incredible courage, a positive attitude and a smile on his face.  His mom and dad have never faltered in their belief that there is hope for Case, even when facing disappointing results and heartbreaking news.  Case is a warrior and they are all so grateful for the prayers and continued support from their "fight club."

Case has an incredible faith and a positive outlook that keeps their family moving forward to the next best option, the next treatment and the next good memory and the Archer Foundation is proud to join this family and their "fight club" in their belief and hope for many more good days.
